Rural Alberta Needs a Different Enforcement Map
Prairie Coalition says rural communities need enforcement routes designed for distance, not copied from city assumptions.

The Economic Future committee page lists Bill 208 under a committee mandate that includes agriculture, jobs, economy, service Alberta, tourism, and other files. Rural Alberta should be treated as a distinct practical setting inside that review, not as an afterthought.
What rural residents need to know
- Where complaints go.
- How online sellers are investigated outside major centres.
- Whether adult consumers will be pushed into delivery channels with weaker checks.
A rural-safe policy standard
Health Canada says adults who smoke and switch completely to vaping can reduce exposure to many harmful chemicals, while warning youth and non-smokers not to vape, according to Health Canada vaping information. Rural policy should protect both realities.
